Hey hey hey!

I’m back!

Today wa

s the final day of recording vocals. I had such a blast. It’s like it just never stops being fun!

I have enjoyed being able to work with some of the most amazing and talented musicians, being able to take my time in the studio as a learning experience as well as a work trip has really been fun. I feel like I am coming away with so much more than I came with, and a lot more respect than even the first time I can out of the studio.   Getting to work with Tom was especially one of the high points. I have been listening to his music since I was really little, so being able to work with one of my hero’s has really been an eye opener for me. Not only is it totally cool to get to work with someone like him, to find out that he is talented AND really nice and fun to work with, was the icing on the cake!

So anyway, I’m hanging out here at the resort, chilling in my shorts and getting siked up for tomorrow!

I hope you all are doing great; I can’t wait for you all to hear the new record!

XOXO

In the studio! ;)

Ok.

I just have to say….I am totally having the time of my life!

I was so excited about coming into the studio, but I never could have anticipated how awesome this is! This is the end of the second day of work. I’m chilling out at our cabin room at the resort, chowing down [singing makes you hungry!] playing on my computer, and wondering what’s in store for tomorrow! Yesterday was so cool, we worked from about twelve till around eight. Today, we went from around ten thirty to seven. Today was a little harder for me since I had worked my voice pretty hard yesterday already, but I feel great and am really getting legged up to a lot of songs in one session. It’s awesome to be able to work with all these totally amazing musicians and to have all the insane brilliant ideas floating around! I’m getting to play guitar on a lot of this album, and that’s really exciting for me since I wasn’t able to do that on the last one [ Since I had only been playing for about four months when we made the Highway 80! ]

I don’t want to give away too much all in one blog….but I’ll post more tomorrow & hope to hear what you think!

XOXO

Here in Arizona!!! =]

Love Love Love the beach! <3

Hey everybody!

WOW! I am one happy girl!

We just arrived a little while ago here at the resort in Arizona. Not only is the desert SOOO beautiful, but where we are staying is gorgeous! Our little house’s view looks out over a big ol’ mountain and I am already in love with all the huge saguaro and tons of other cacti that are littering this big old desert. I have always read legends in some of my favorite books about how good people come back as saguaro, just a story but it’s always cool to think of when you walk past them!

The drive up was awesome, and us girls all had a blast. We always have fun traveling together…which is a good thing because we do so much of it! Although I have to say, I was REALLY sore for most of the drive, I went surfing last night and boy oh boy I am FEELING those muscles! I meet with Tom tomorrow in the morning here at the hotel before we head off to the studio….I’m getting so excited!  It’s been a while since I was recording, and this is the first time I’ve been to this studio so I’m stoked to get back into the swing of things! I’ve got my dad’s big bodied Gibson with me [He’s so sweet to let me steal it all the time!] and my Dreadnaught Alvarez. This is the first time I’ll hopefully be playing some of my own guitar on the record, and I’m really excited to have that chance! Keep your fingers crossed for me!

Anyway, Thanks so much for stopping by again! Come check by and see what’s happening in the studio as the week go’s on!

XOXO

PS. Please stop by and send me a e-mail…I can’t promise I’ll get back right away, but I really would love to hear from you! =]

Belts and Bags and Boots oh my! :)

Hey hey everybody!

I hope you all are enjoying your summers as much as I am!

Right now I am sitting among the wreckage of my little bunk-house….no not literally! I never realize how much STUFF [AKA CLOTHES] I have until it’s time to pack yet again! There are shirts, jeans and jewelry everywhere….I am not the most tidy teenager ever!

For the past while I haven’t even bothered with unpacking…but I was home for a nice little break and had emptied the suitcases…. & now it’s time to get together all of my hot weather clothes for Arizona and it is MOST amusing watching me struggle amidst belts and shirts and more cowboy boots than should be allowed! We leave tomorrow for down south, and after a nice stop in my hometown of Ventura [WHICH MEANS SURFING!] Momma, my sis and I will head down for the first time to Tuscan for recording the new album!

I am not getting much done as you can tell since I am writing to all of you instead of packing! But I am so excited now; I can’t seem to get my act together…this is a result of what a short attention span I have!

Well, Have a good laugh at how silly I am with getting ready…I’m posting up a few pictures of me in my dilemma that I hope you enjoy!

XOXO

Hellloooooo!!!!

Hey everyone!

Boy oh boy do I love summer! For someone who loves Sweet Iced tea, the pool and sunny days…I am in heaven! How is everyone? Make sure you come by and drop me a line, I’d love to hear how all of your summers are going! I thought I’d also post up a few pictures of me surfing in Southern California, and also of Tom and I going over some final songs. Like I said, whenever I’m down south my Mom and I can’t resist getting the Hot rod of my Grandpa’s out….We love driving around downtown and honking at people! So I’ll throw some of those up for good measure as well!

I’m back home at the ranch now. I’ve been working on the final songs and getting ready for going into the studio which is really exciting! We leave on Friday for Arizona, and it’s gonna be hot hot hot! So it’s time to get out the cut-offs and cowboy boots and have a great time!

Thanks for stopping by and make sure you check back soon for more updates, I’ll be writing everyday when I’m in the studio!

XOXO

Hey everyone!

Hey you guys!

Well I had an awesome day today! It always seems when I wake up at the beach that everything will be alright. I met with Tom and Nadine Russell today around noon for a meeting and to play through all of the songs for the new album…and had a total blast! I really was looking forward to playing with Tom for the first time. It was so cool to play and work with someone that I have admired and grown up listening to, and also to find that he dug it! All in all we had a lot of fun, and got a lot of work done…however, I won’t give too much away! You’re going to have to wait for the album to hear all the juicy parts!

After the meeting my Momma and I took my Grandpa’s Hot rod car [WOW] for a ride to the beach and in and around downtown Ventura. I was born here in Ventura, so it’s always really fun to come back and see old friends, old sights and try new things! I had a blast playing at the beach and am putting up a few pictures for you all from this trip.

Next stop is home again before the studio trip which will take me down for my first time in Tuscan Arizona! Wish you were here enjoying the sea breeze with me!

Let me know how you all are doing and thanks for dropping by my blog!

Until the next time,

XOXO

~Adrian

First Blog from Southern California!

Hey everyone!

Thanks for stopping by my blog; this is the first of many for the website after it’s had its little face lift! I hope you will stop by often as I’ll be updating all the time and letting you all know what’s going on during recording!

I am down in southern California until Sunday for a pre production with my awesome producer Tom Russell and a photo shoot for the album! I am really excited, the recording date is coming up really soon…and I couldn’t be happier! I am really looking forward to figuring out the final list of songs that will be on the album, and getting to do this photo shoot! The shoot is being photographed by a really cool team from out of Bakersfield, and I’m totally stoked and a little bit nervous!  I’m not going to give too much away about what we’re shooting…but I will tell you I bet you’re not expecting what’s coming!  I love being down here in So Cal, it’s so pretty and nice being right next to the beach, we stay at my Grandpa and Grandma’s house while we’re here and when I’m not working you can usually find me chilling on the beach or ATTEMPTING to surf!  Back home at the ranch its rainy and overcast…we sure do need the rain but just the same I’m totally ready for it to be summer!  I love having the fast internet here in town..But still jump every time a car goes by, I’m SO not used to this many people at night! Also, in some other good news, just yesterday we found out that my sister is healthy and cancer free! We had a really tough time there for a while, when we were told she had developed a Malignant Melanoma on a mole in her eye. Thank the Lord though after a check-up she is fine and cancer free! Thank-you to everyone who thought about Liz during that time, it meant a lot to us all.

Okay well I’m going to go hang out with my momma! We’re having a blast together being silly and loud! [I am EXACTLY like her in the noise category!]  Thanks for checking up on what’s going on! Come back regularly and see what’s happening with the recording process and music!

Thank-you to everyone for all the support and love!

XOXO
